Job Description

Job Summary:
Responsible for conducting sleep studies and evaluating sleep patterns to assist in diagnosing sleep disorders. Ensures accurate data collection and maintains patient comfort throughout the testing process.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform sleep studies using advanced polysomnography equipment and techniques.
  • Monitor and record patient sleep behavior and vital signs during overnight tests.
  • Analyze and score sleep data according to established clinical protocols.
  • Maintain and calibrate sleep lab equipment to ensure optimal functioning.
  • Adhere to unit policies and safety guidelines to ensure patient and staff safety.
  • Document all procedures and patient interactions thoroughly in the electronic medical record.

Qualifications:

  • Hold a valid RPSGT (Registered Polysomnographic Technologist) certification.
  • Possess at least 6 months of experience as an EEG Tech or Sleep Tech.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in operating Nihon Kohden Polysmith and ResMed BIPAP equipment.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Must have BLS certification; high-altitude experience and basic scoring skills are preferred.
