Job Summary:

Provides skilled rehabilitative services to patients under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. Focuses on improving patients' physical functioning through evidence-based interventions and documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Administer evidence-based treatment interventions such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of assistive devices.
• Assess patient progress regularly and communicate with supervising Physical Therapist to modify treatment plans accordingly.
• Document all clinical activities, including treatment minutes, patient responses, and progress notes in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team, patients, and families to support optimal recovery and discharge planning.
• Support and supervise students under the guidance of the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Comply with all regulatory practices, including licensure, documentation requirements, and ethical standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active State Licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Possess a minimum of 1 year of PTA experience, preferably in LTC or rehab settings.
• Demonstrate proficiency in clinical documentation and patient care procedures.
• Have excellent communication skills for effective team collaboration and patient counseling.
• Be able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Adhere to the APTA and state-specific practice acts, ethics, and professional conduct guidelines.
