Job Summary:
The RN in Operating Room performs perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing surgical procedures. This role involves preparing patients, assisting during surgery, and ensuring safety and optimal outcomes throughout the operative process.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient condition and readiness for surgery prior to procedures.
• Maintain sterile techniques and assist surgeons and surgical team during operations.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to intraoperative changes promptly.
• Educate patients and their families about the surgical process and postoperative care.
• Document all aspects of patient care accurately in EPIC and other relevant systems.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Qualifications:

• Valid California RN license with current, unrestricted registration.
• Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience.
• Certified in BLS, ACLS, and PALS through AHA or Red Cross.
• Proficient in EPIC charting and perioperative procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced, high acuity environments.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
