Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Stepdown unit to provide comprehensive patient care for cardiac patients requiring close monitoring and specialized interventions. The role involves managing acute and higher-acuity cases in a dynamic clinical environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, and deliver individualized nursing care to cardiac patients in a stepdown setting.
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and patient status using telemetry equipment.
• Titrate and manage titratable drips such as Heparin, Amiodarone, Dobutamine, Dopamine, and Nitro.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including RTs, CNAs, and physicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care activities accurately and maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations and perform necessary interventions.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with state Board of Nursing.
• BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in cardiac or stepdown units required.
• Demonstrated ability to monitor and interpret telemetry strips.
• Experience with titrating cardiac drips and managing higher acuity patients.
• Proficiency in using telemetry equipment and alert systems.
