Job Summary:

The Vascular Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic vascular ultrasound examinations to assist physicians in evaluating vascular conditions. They are responsible for providing high-quality imaging, patient care, and accurate documentation within a clinical setting.

Responsibilities:

• Perform vascular ultrasound examinations based on established protocols and procedures.
• Prepare and position patients appropriately to ensure optimal imaging results.
• Explain procedures to patients, addressing concerns and establishing rapport.
• Assess patient history and clinical data to tailor exams and identify abnormal findings.
• Maintain and operate ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety.
• Document all exam details accurately, including images, findings, and patient information.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited sonography program with registry eligibility by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
• Minimum of six months of ultrasound experience preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency in vascular ultrasound imaging techniques.
• Strong understanding of vascular anatomy and pathology.
• Excellent patient care, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain detailed documentation and adhere to safety protocols.
