Job Summary:
The CVOR Tech is responsible for assisting in cardiovascular operating room procedures by preparing the sterile field, managing equipment, and supporting surgeons during surgeries. They ensure a smooth workflow and adherence to safety protocols within a Level 2 trauma center environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room by maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring all necessary equipment is available.
• Assist surgeons and team members during cardiovascular surgeries, handling instruments and supplies efficiently.
• Monitor and troubleshoot surgical equipment, ensuring proper functionality throughout procedures.
• Adhere to infection control standards and safety regulations to ensure patient and staff safety.
• Document procedural details accurately in the electronic health records system, such as Cerner.
• Support float requirements by adapting to different hospital units, including mainland and city campus locations.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid state license as a Surgery Technician or equivalent credential.
• Possess at least 2 years of experience working in cardiovascular or operating room settings.
• Demonstrate proficiency with surgical instruments and cardiovascular procedures, including trauma cases.
• Be certified as NBSTSA or NCCT, with BLS certification required.
• Have experience working in Level 2 trauma centers with trauma patient care.
• Ability to work both day shifts and on-call nights/weekends with alternating schedules.
