Job Summary:
Provides specialized obstetric nursing care to mothers and infants across antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and neonatal periods. Works independently and collaboratively to support physicians and midwives, ensuring family-centered, comprehensive care aligned with hospital policies and standards.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of nursing procedures requiring professional expertise while considering patient-specific conditions.
• Assist physicians and midwives during examinations and clinical procedures.
• Deliver comprehensive prenatal, labor, delivery, and postpartum nursing care to patients and their families.
• Support individuals of all ages with specialized obstetric care and education.
• Maintain compliance with licensing, certifications, and hospital procedures, including documentation and patient safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid, unrestricted Professional Nursing License to practice in any U.S. state, Puerto Rico, or U.S. territory.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of OB nursing experience in antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and labor/delivery.
• Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications.
• Obtain AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced EFM certifications within six months of hire.
• Complete NIHSS (Stroke Scale) and STABLE certifications within six and twelve months respectively.
• Achieve ALSO certification within one year of employment.
