Job Summary:
Provide specialized speech and language therapy services to residents at the Veterans Home for a 13-week assignment. Ensure effective communication rehabilitation, assessment, and treatment planning tailored to the needs of the elderly veteran population.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate residents’ communication and swallowing abilities to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement therapy techniques aimed at improving speech, language, and cognitive functions.
• Document patient progress and adjust therapy approaches accordingly.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize resident care.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and facility policies.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Possess necessary certifications in speech-language pathology.
• Demonstrate experience working with geriatric or veteran populations.
• Exhibit strong assessment and treatment planning skills.
• Maintain excellent communication and documentation abilities.
