Job Summary:


The Cath Lab Technician is responsible for supporting invasive cardiovascular procedures within the department. They assist physicians, monitor patient status, and operate specialized equipment to ensure high-quality cardiac care.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the physician as a scrub technician and procedure circulator during invasive cardiac procedures.
  
• Operate and troubleshoot imaging and monitoring equipment used in the Cath Lab.
  
• Record procedural data accurately and maintain detailed documentation.
  
• Prepare and maintain a sterile field, ensuring adherence to surgical techniques.
  
• Develop expertise in invasive and non-invasive cardiac testing and procedures.
  
• Support the department with additional duties as assigned to optimize patient outcomes.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, or Surgical Technology program.
  
• Hold current registration or licensure as a Radiologic Technologist, Cardiovascular Technologist, or Certified Surgical Technician.
  
• Prior Cath Lab experience preferred, with a working knowledge of sterile surgical techniques.
  
• Ability to quickly adapt to new equipment and procedures in a fast-paced environment.
  
• Obtain RCES certification within two years if hired as an Electrophysiology lab technician.
  
• Must hold a valid TN or compact state license.
