Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care in the endoscopy unit, supporting procedures such as EGD, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy, and advanced diagnostics. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and adherence to clinical protocols during various endoscopic interventions.

Responsibilities:

• Administer pre-procedure assessments and gather patient history for endoscopic procedures.
• Prepare and assist with endoscopy equipment, ensuring proper functionality and sterility.
• Monitor patient vital signs and comfort throughout procedures, responding promptly to any complications.
• Document procedure details, patient responses, and follow-up care using EMR systems like Meditech and Provation.
• Adhere to unit policies, including dress code and rotation schedules, providing coverage as scheduled.
• Support a team environment by collaborating effectively with staff and participating in unit protocols.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with at least 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in endoscopy or GI specialties.
• Demonstrate proficiency with endoscopy procedures such as EGD, colonoscopy, and bronchoscopy.
• Possess current BLS certification.
• Exhibit strong teamwork skills, adaptability, and a fast-paced, patient-centered approach.
• Ability to follow detailed protocols and maintain high standards of patient care.
