Job Description

Job Summary:

The Imaging Informaticist manages and optimizes enterprise-wide imaging systems, including PACS, RIS, VNA, and related workflow platforms, ensuring seamless operations across clinical facilities. This role involves system administration, troubleshooting, and supporting imaging workflows to maintain secure, efficient, and compliant diagnostic imaging environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer enterprise imaging systems such as Fuji Synapse PACS, VNA, Laurel Bridge Compass, and Fuji Cardiology PACS, ensuring system stability and performance.
  • Maintain and optimize imaging workflows, including DICOM routing, prefetching, archival management, and multi-site worklist configurations.
  • Provide technical troubleshooting and support for RIS, PACS, and imaging workflow issues, collaborating with IT and clinical teams.
  • Support system integration efforts among various imaging systems and electronic health records, ensuring adherence to documentation standards and workflow processes.
  • Liaise with vendors for troubleshooting, system upgrades, and new service implementations to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, security protocols, and data retention policies, managing imaging data lifecycle and security measures.

Qualifications:

  • Possess an Associate’s degree in computer science, information systems, radiology, or imaging; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Hold ARRT certification in one or more modalities; CT certification preferred.
  • Demonstrate 3+ years of experience with diagnostic imaging systems, including troubleshooting and support.
  • Have at least 1+ year supporting RIS, PACS, and related imaging administration.
  • Show knowledge of DICOM, HL7 standards, and radiology/cardiology workflows.
  • Maintain current certifications such as ARRT credentials.
