Job Summary:

A highly skilled OR RN is responsible for providing comprehensive perioperative nursing care in a busy Level I Trauma Center. The role involves direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures across various specialties, ensuring patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and deliver preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative nursing care for surgical patients.
• Assist in maintaining sterile environments and ensure adherence to infection control practices.
• Collaborate with surgical teams, including scrub and circulating roles, to facilitate smooth operating room operations.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes during procedures.
• Document all aspects of patient care accurately within EPIC charting system.
• Support emergency response efforts during hurricane season or facility emergencies as required.

Qualifications:

• Hold a South Carolina or multi-state/compact RN license.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of OR nursing experience, with scrub experience strongly preferred.
• Maintain current BLS certification; Radiation Badge required (to be provided by agency).
• Demonstrate flexibility to float within scope across units or facilities.
• Be able to work day shifts (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM) with holiday and weekend rotations.
• Experience with Level I Trauma Centers and complex surgical procedures is strongly preferred.
