Job Summary:

The CT Technologist performs advanced computed tomography procedures to produce detailed sectional and three-dimensional images for diagnostic interpretation. They assist with interventional and therapeutic radiology techniques and ensure patient safety throughout the process.

Responsibilities:

• Execute complex CT imaging procedures following established protocols and safety standards.
• Review patient clinical history and scan into PACS, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare patients, administer contrast media as prescribed, and verify exam appropriateness with radiologists and physicians.
• Monitor patients during procedures for adverse reactions and provide instruction and explanations at a patient-appropriate level.
• Document and communicate with healthcare providers to clarify prescriptions and obtain additional clinical information.
• Maintain equipment, ensure proper identification of images, and perform scheduled shifts, including on-call and overtime as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program with High School diploma or equivalent.
• Current NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License and ARRT (R.T.(R)) certification.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and radiological positioning.
• Understanding of CT hardware/software and proficiency with PACS.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within three months of hire.
• Achieve ARRT (CT) certification within 12 months of employment.
