Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse provides specialized obstetric care to patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum. They ensure the safety and well-being of mothers and newborns through skilled clinical interventions and compassionate support.

Responsibilities:

• Assess maternal and fetal health status continuously during labor and delivery.
• Administer medications and interventions per physician orders and established protocols.
• Monitor and manage labor progression, facilitating safe and timely deliveries.
• Collaborate with obstetric, anesthesiology, and neonatal teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on childbirth processes, postpartum care, and newborn care.
• Document clinical observations and interventions accurately in electronic health records.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state.
• Demonstrate recent experience in Labor and Delivery nursing or obstetric care.
• Possess fundamental knowledge of obstetric assessments, fetal monitoring, and neonatal resuscitation.
• Maintain current BLS and NRP certifications.
• Exhibit strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
