Job Summary:
Provide comprehensive pediatric hematology-oncology care in a specialized unit, managing patients with complex medical needs including BMT and overflow cases. Ensure delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate nursing services aligned with hospital standards.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies to pediatric patients with hematology-oncology conditions.
• Monitor patient status, document clinical observations, and report significant changes to the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Float to applicable units such as GenPeds, PICU, and NICU, ensuring seamless patient care coverage.
• Comply with hospital policies including nicotine-free campus requirements and travel documentation deadlines.
• Maintain accurate records in the Epic EMR system and adhere to all safety and compliance protocols.

Qualifications:

• Valid Georgia or Compact State RN license in hand at the time of submission.
• BLS, PALS (AHA only), and APHON certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of pediatric hematology-oncology or med-surg experience preferred.
• Ability to pass medication pass/fail test with a second assessment; failure may result in cancellation.
• Willingness to float to other units and campuses as needed.
• BSN degree preferred but not required.
