Job Summary:
Seeking a qualified Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery to provide comprehensive patient care before, during, and after childbirth. The RN will assess, plan, and execute high-quality maternity care supporting positive patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough assessments of obstetric patients, monitoring fetal and maternal health across all stages of labor.
• Deliver competent clinical care, including managing delivery procedures and supporting emergencies as needed.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of patient care, including progress notes, assessments, and educational activities.
• Demonstrate professionalism by adhering to hospital policies, promoting patient safety, and advocating for patient rights.
• Respond professionally and compassionately to patients and families, ensuring a positive birthing experience and respecting confidentiality.
• Follow safety protocols including adherence to Universal Protocol and patient identification procedures during labor and delivery.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license with recent labor and delivery experience.
• Possess the ability to perform systematic assessments of obstetric patients and newborns.
• Demonstrate proficiency with obstetric emergency equipment and procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of hospital policies, safety standards, and documentation guidelines.
• Show strong communication skills, including patient education and interdisciplinary teamwork.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred; Associates accepted.
