Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with Labor and Delivery specialization for a seasonal travel assignment. The role involves providing expert patient care in a busy obstetric unit, supporting both routine and high-risk deliveries.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive maternal and neonatal care to patients, including labor, delivery, and postpartum services.
• Monitor fetal and maternal vital signs using Centricity and GE monitors, ensuring timely response to any abnormalities.
• Assist with procedures such as vaginal and c-section deliveries, D&C, hysterectomies, PP tubal, cerclage placement, and versions.
• Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech EMR and adhere to unit policies and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Support and mentor less experienced staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with a minimum of 1-year current acute care hospital L&D experience.
• Obtain BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Meditech EMR, PACU, or OR settings, with a preference for those with OR experience.
• Possess strong clinical skills in high-risk obstetrics and fetal monitoring.
• Exhibit a proactive, independent work ethic and excellent communication skills.
