Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures within an ambulatory surgery setting. Works independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical continuum.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans for preoperative and postoperative phases.
• Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status during procedures and recovery.
• Administer medications, sedation, and anesthesia as indicated and according to protocol.
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure seamless patient care and safety.
• Manage patients recovering from C-sections, ensuring stability and comfort independently.
• Participate in rotational call coverage during weekends and holidays to maintain 24/7 patient care coverage.

Qualifications:

• Hold an unencumbered Oregon RN license.
• Possess a minimum of 5 years of recent experience in day surgery or outpatient perioperative care.
• Maintain current healthcare provider-level BLS certification.
• Obtain ACLS and PALS certifications prior to employment with PCH Surgery Ambulatory.
• Demonstrate proficiency in managing diverse patient populations including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and elderly.
• Be comfortable functioning autonomously in a busy outpatient surgical environment.
