Job Summary:

Experienced outpatient oncology RN sought to provide specialized infusion care in a busy outpatient setting. The role involves administering a variety of chemotherapy and supportive therapies, ensuring patient safety, and delivering compassionate clinical support.

Responsibilities:

• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and infusion therapies following established protocols.
• Monitor patients’ responses during treatments, identifying and managing adverse reactions.
• Maintain and assess central venous access devices, including PICC lines and ports.
• Educate patients on self-administration of medications and post-treatment care.
• Ensure compliance with licensing, certification, and safety standards, including EPIC documentation.
• Adhere to all facility policies, including drug screening and de-escalation training requirements.

Qualifications:

• Possess 2+ years of current outpatient oncology and infusion experience.
• Hold valid Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) and Chemo Certification (ONS).
• Demonstrate Peripheral IV, Port, Fistula, and Catheter insertion skills.
• Have active BLS, ACLS, and CHEMOOCNBLS certifications.
• Be proficient in EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Maintain valid NY state license and current immunization and de-escalation training.
