Job Summary:
The MedSurg/Tele RN provides patient care in a small community healthcare setting, managing acute and post-operative patients on a MedSurg/Telemetry unit. The role involves monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, and collaborating with healthcare team members to ensure quality care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications, including IV drips such as insulin, Cardizem, and Amiodarone, following protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and ventilator settings, reporting changes to physicians.
• Document patient information accurately in the CPSI - Evident Thrive EMR system.
• Collaborate with charge nurses, PCTs, and physicians to coordinate patient care.
• Respond to emergency situations and provide bedside support as needed.

Qualifications:

• Current valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in MedSurg or Telemetry.
• BLS certification is required; ACLS is preferred.
• Previous travel or staffing experience in acute care settings.
• Ability to adapt to electronic charting and hospital workflows.
