Job Summary:
Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical/Telemetry units, providing inpatient care for diverse surgical and medical patients. This role involves managing complex cases, utilizing EPIC electronic health records during upcoming conversion, and supporting a fast-paced environment with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and deliver comprehensive nursing care to surgical and medical patients on the unit.
• Monitor and interpret telemonitor strips, utilizing telehealth technology for patient assessment.
• Administer medications, including titratable infusion Drips such as Heparin, following protocol.
• Collaborate with virtual admission/discharge nurses and support staff to enhance patient flow.
• Educate and support patients and families regarding post-op care, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and clinical interventions in EPIC system.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license.
• Minimum of 1 year of surgical or acute care nursing experience.
• Strong understanding of PCA pumps, TPN, Lipids, and narcotic management.
• Proven experience with total joint replacements, sepsis management, and advanced airway equipment like Bipap/CPAP.
• Must have EPIC electronic health record experience.
• Current BLS certification; NIHSS preferred.
