Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. Develops individualized care plans and collaborates with healthcare teams to improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with speech, language, cognition, or swallowing impairments.
  • Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practices to inform clinical interventions.
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans accordingly, documenting changes in medical records.
  • Evaluate treatment effectiveness and adjust services to meet patient needs; refer patients when necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, healthcare team members, patients, families, and caregivers regarding progress and treatment goals.
  • Ensure documentation of all services, including discharge summaries, treatment minutes, and regulatory compliance records.

Qualifications:

  • Hold active ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) and State Licensure in Massachusetts.
  • Possess a minimum of 1 year of relevant speech-language pathology experience, preferably in LTC or rehab settings.
  • Be a licensed speech-language pathologist according to state requirements.
  • New graduates with Level II experience are eligible.
  • Demonstrate adherence to ASHA, state practice acts, and ethical standards.
