Job Summary:
The Cath Lab RN is responsible for providing specialized nursing care during cardiac catheterization procedures, including interventional and electrophysiology (EP) interventions. This role requires experience with advanced equipment and procedures specific to cardiac and peripheral interventions.

Responsibilities:

• Administer nursing care and monitor patients during cardiac catheterization and EP procedures.
• Operate and troubleshoot advanced equipment such as IABP, Impella, ultrasound, and other interventional tools.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, techs, and other staff to ensure safe, efficient procedures.
• Document patient data accurately in the electronic medical record system (Meditech).
• Respond to callback calls and provide timely on-call coverage as required.
• Maintain compliance with unit policies and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Hold valid ACLS certification.
• Demonstrate experience with IABP and Impella device management.
• Possess at least 1 year of recent Cath Lab or EP experience.
• Have proven skills in performing heart caths, interventions, pacemakers, AICD, Watchman, and EP ablations.
• Exhibit strong critical thinking and communication skills.
• Be able to work effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
