Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse in the PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) provides critical post-operative care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures. The role involves monitoring patient vital signs, managing pain, and ensuring safe recovery to facilitate discharge or transfer to appropriate units.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' vital signs and recovery status continuously.
• Administer medications and interventions as ordered to manage pain and nausea.
• Monitor for and respond to complications such as bleeding or respiratory issues.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care instructions.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure smooth patient transitions and recovery.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current, unencumbered Oregon RN license.
• Maintain Healthcare Provider Level BLS certification.
• Possess ACLS and PALS certifications.
• Demonstrate experience in post-anesthesia or surgical recovery settings.
• Exhibit strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
