Job Summary:

Provide specialized inpatient rehabilitation nursing care to adult and geriatric patients, ensuring optimal recovery and health outcomes. Responsible for collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and delivering patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor treatments, including titration of drips when necessary, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Assess patient condition by reviewing vital signs, medical history, and diagnostic data.
• Educate patients and their families on rehabilitation processes and post-discharge care.
• Participate in weekly team conferences to coordinate patient care plans and progress.
• Document patient progress, treatments, and interventions accurately in medical records.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and relay critical information to healthcare team members.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license in good standing.
• Possess at least 2 years of medical-surgical or rehab nursing experience; prior rehab experience preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency in managing CVA, TIA, MI, hip fractures, Parkinson's, and chronic condition exacerbations.
• Be comfortable working independently in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to read and interpret strips, but not required to attend team conferences unless scheduled.
• Must have BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
