Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled Cytotechnologist Traveler to perform screening, preparation, and staining of cytology slides, primarily focusing on PAPs and non-GYN specimens. The role involves molecular testing on PAP vials and grossing activities, with an emphasis on accurate and timely diagnosis.

Responsibilities:

• Examine and interpret an average of 40-80 cytology slides daily to ensure diagnostic accuracy.
• Perform specimen collection and assist with grossing procedures as needed.
• Conduct molecular testing on PAP vials to support diagnostic processes.
• Maintain detailed, computerized patient records in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of cytology processing, including staining and preparation.
• Collaborate with pathologists and laboratory staff to ensure quality standards are met.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an ABHES-accredited cytotechnology program or meet CAP qualifications for Cytotechnologist.
• Hold current Cytotechnologist (CT) certification through ASCP.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a Cytotechnologist.
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of cytology laboratory procedures and quality control.
• Display consistency in diagnoses, within one grade of the pathologist or consultant.
