Job Summary:
Provides specialized critical care nursing services to cardiac and vascular surgery patients in the CVICU. Delivers high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment, ensuring optimal postoperative recovery and hemodynamic stability.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess critically ill cardiac and vascular surgery patients requiring advanced hemodynamic support.
• Manage ventilators, arterial lines, spinal drains, and other invasive devices with proficiency.
• Interpret ECGs, adjust vasoactive and inotropic drips, and titrate medications to maintain patient stability.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient responses and interventions accurately in electronic medical records.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current RN license with 2-3 years of CVICU staff experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency with ventilators, arterial lines, ECG interpretation, and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Have valid cardiothoracic ICU competencies, including management of post-operative cardiac and vascular surgery patients.
• Possess current certification in BLS and ACLS.
• Previous travel ICU experience preferred, with the ability to adapt rapidly to new facilities and protocols.
