Job Summary:
A Medical Surgical Registered Nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care to adults with common post-surgical diagnoses, utilizing specialized equipment and adhering to facility protocols. The role requires flexibility to float between units and adherence to industry standards for patient safety and quality care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop appropriate care plans based on medical needs.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders and facility guidelines.
• Operate and monitor specialized equipment such as IV pumps, N/G tubes, and feeding devices.
• Document patient progress accurately in the electronic medical record (EPIC).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Float between units when needed, maintaining readiness and adaptability.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active NY RN license with all licenses verified via NURSYS.
• Possess at least 2 years of recent experience in Medical Surgical units.
• Demonstrate proficiency with EPIC EMR system.
• Have a current BLS certification per AHA standards.
• Provide documentation of recent travel experience, if applicable.
• Maintain valid driver's license matching current address, with flexibility to float units.
