Job Summary:

Provides specialized post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgical procedures, ensuring safe and efficient recovery. Collaborates with surgical teams to deliver high-quality nursing services in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor patients’ vital signs and assess their recovery progress post-surgery.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and nursing protocols.
• Manage patient pain and provide comfort measures during recovery.
• Document patient care activities accurately and thoroughly.
• Communicate effectively with surgical teams and family members regarding patient status.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid Registered Nurse license with at least 2 years of recent PACU experience.
• Hold current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency in post-anesthesia assessment and patient management.
• Exhibit strong critical thinking and multitasking skills.
• Maintain NIHSS certification preferred.
