Job Summary:

The RN ICU provides specialized nursing care to critically ill patients within the intensive care unit, ensuring patient safety and optimal health outcomes through advanced clinical skills and compassionate oversight.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor high-acuity patient care, including ventilator management, medication administration, and hemodynamic support.
• Utilize ICU equipment such as GE floor-mounted C-Arm, Volcano System, and Getinge IABP to support patient treatment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized care plans.
• Document patient progress, interventions, and responses accurately in electronic medical records.
• Respond swiftly to emergencies such as codes, arrhythmias, and sudden decompensations, following established protocols.
• Float to ED or Medical-Surgical units as needed, demonstrating flexibility and clinical competence.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license in the appropriate state.
• Possess at least 2 years of ICU experience with proficiency in advanced patient care skills.
• Have current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Demonstrate experience with critical ICU equipment and management of complex cases such as post-PCI, STEMI, ARDS, and sepsis.
• Be able to work 12-hour night shifts with a flexible schedule, including weekend coverage.
