Job Summary:

Seeking a qualified Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse with strong obstetric experience to provide comprehensive care during labor, delivery, postpartum, and neonatal stabilization. The ideal candidate will be skilled in fetal monitoring and neonatal skills, ensuring patient safety and positive outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care to women during labor, delivery, postpartum, and neonatal stabilization.
• Monitor fetal well-being using AWHONN fetal monitoring techniques and ensure compliance with certification requirements.
• Assist with labor progression, neonatal stabilization, and postpartum care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient progress accurately and maintain detailed medical records.
• Maintain necessary certifications, including NRP, BLS, and hospital-specific sedation protocols, within specified timeframes.

Qualifications:

• Possess 3 to 4 years of labor and delivery RN experience.
• Hold a current California RN license.
• Demonstrate proficiency in labor, postpartum, and nursery care across any level.
• Obtain and recertify AWHONN fetal monitoring certification within six months; BLS, NRP, ACLS, and hospital sedation certifications preferred.
• Show stability and confidence in newborn stabilization skills.
• Be comfortable working day shifts, with up to 36 hours per week.
