Job Summary:
The Respiratory Therapist provides advanced cardio-pulmonary assessment, respiratory care, and patient education across various hospital units. This role requires expertise in neonatal, critical care, and general respiratory services, supporting patients of all ages.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive respiratory evaluations and administer therapies in accordance with established protocols and physician prescriptions.
• Monitor and manage patient airway, ventilation, and oxygen therapy to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions, treatment plans, and proper equipment use.
• Maintain accurate documentation of clinical procedures and patient progress in the electronic health record system.
• Ensure compliance with all licensing, certification, and hospital safety standards, including mandatory training and testing requirements.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Qualifications:

• Hold NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential and valid New York State license.
• Demonstrate current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP.
• Have clinical experience in neonatal resuscitation, critical care, and inpatient respiratory therapy.
• Possess an Associate's degree from an accredited respiratory care program.
• Exhibit strong assessment skills, proficiency in life support procedures, and ability to work in high-pressure environments.
• Provide recent supervisory reference verifying clinical competence within the past two years.
