Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at Cleveland Clinic - Akron General Hospital. The ideal candidate will have recent, permanent experience in medical-surgical telemetry and possess active licensing along with necessary certifications.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a Medical Surgical Telemetry unit.
• Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms, ensuring patient safety and responding to abnormalities.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Adhere to all compliance and safety standards including licensing, background checks, and drug screens.

Qualifications:

• Hold a permanent Ohio RN license or a compact license valid for this start date.
• Possess a minimum of 18 months recent, permanent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience.
• Maintain active BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency in ECG rhythm recognition and medication administration.
• Submit a reference from a supervisor, manager, or director in the relevant specialty.
• Complete all mandatory orientation modules, including ECG and safeMedicate assessments.
