Job Details

Job Summary:
Provide high-quality surgical nursing care to adult patients in a 34-bed surgical unit. Support preoperative and postoperative procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout their surgical experience.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor vital signs, IV and PCA pumps, and utilize electronic charting systems.
• Assist with surgical preoperative assessments and postoperative recovery procedures.
• Maintain compliance with all safety protocols, including equipment usage and infection control.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure seamless patient care and accurate documentation.
• Float to other units as needed, maintaining flexibility and readiness for various patient care areas.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Hawaii nursing license prior to starting the assignment.
• Have at least 2 years of recent RN experience in surgical pre/postoperative nursing.
• Possess current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency with surgical equipment and EMR/charting systems.
• Ability to work three 12-hour shifts per week in a fast-paced environment.
