Job Summary:

Seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for Endoscopy/GI procedures in an acute care setting. The position requires providing specialized patient care, assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, and ensuring compliance with facility protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Perform screening and surveillance procedures such as colonoscopies, EGDs, and pH studies.
• Circulate and assist during conscious sedation and complex GI interventions.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond to emergent situations during procedures.
• Document clinical findings accurately in electronic medical records.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols specific to GI and endoscopy units.
• Float within scope to meet the facility’s operational needs.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in endoscopy or GI units.
• BCLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Ability to work a day shift schedule; no weekend requirements.
• Strong assessment, clinical skills, and patient communication.
• Familiarity with Cerner or similar charting systems.
