Job Summary:
The CVOR RN is responsible for providing specialized perioperative care to patients undergoing cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries. This role requires proficiency in monitoring, assessing, and responding to patient needs during complex surgical procedures, ensuring optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer preoperative and intraoperative nursing care to cardiovascular and thoracic surgery patients.
• Monitor patient vitals and anesthesia levels throughout surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and effective operation flow.
• Document patient information accurately in electronic health records.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including radiation badge compliance and sterile techniques.
• Respond swiftly to intraoperative emergencies and communicate with team members effectively.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license.
• Possess at least 3 years of recent CVOR surgical experience, including CABG, vascular, and thoracic procedures.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
• Demonstrate experience with Epic charting systems.
• Provide radiation badge as per hospital policy, obtained through agency.
• Ability to work 4x10 hour day shifts with on-call requirements, including weekend rotations.
