Job Summary:

Seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for an oncology unit requiring immediate start within the next week. The role involves providing specialized cancer care and supporting patients through complex treatments.

Responsibilities:

• Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, blood products, IV antibiotics, and anticoagulant infusions with precision.
• Monitor patient vital signs and manage central line care and maintenance.
• Perform IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and tube feedings, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Document all clinical interactions and treatments accurately within the EMR system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Comply with facility standards and maintain up-to-date certifications including BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.

Qualifications:

• Valid nursing license on file at time of submission.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent oncology nursing experience in a large, teaching facility.
• Prior travel nurse experience strongly preferred, especially in chemo or cancer care settings.
• Proficiency with Epic EMR and recent knowledge (within past 2 years).
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS; Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certificate preferred.
• Strong clinical skills with experience managing complex cancer treatments and patient symptoms.
