Job Description
Job Summary:
Responsible for performing Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures to assist in diagnosing patients' medical conditions. Ensures high-quality imaging output while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
- Operate MRI equipment to capture detailed images for diagnostic purposes.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures, explaining the process and ensuring comfort.
- Maintain equipment, including calibration, troubleshooting, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Adhere to all state and federal licensing and certification requirements.
- Document patient information, imaging details, and procedural notes accurately.
- Collaborate with radiologists and medical staff to deliver precise imaging results.
Qualifications:
- Hold a valid NY state Radiologic Technologist license.
- Minimum of one year of MRI imaging experience.
- Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in MR.
- Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology.
- Possess current BLS certification.
- Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
