Job Description
TactStaff EDU is actively connecting with certified Educational Diagnosticians for immediate interview opportunities across the North Houston area and surrounding districts. This is your chance to secure a high-impact school-based role early in a competitive, high-demand market.
What You’ll Do
• Conduct comprehensive Full Individual and Initial Evaluations (FIIE) in accordance with Texas Education Agency (TEA) and federal guidelines
• Interpret assessment data to determine eligibility for special education services
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams and ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings
• Develop clear, compliant, and timely evaluation reports
• Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families
• Ensure compliance with IDEA, TEA regulations, and district policies
• Support reevaluations, data reviews, and eligibility updates
What We’re Looking For
• Master’s degree in Educational Diagnostics, Special Education, or a related field
• Valid Texas Educational Diagnostician Certification (REQUIRED)
• Certification must be issued by the Texas Education Agency
• Previous experience conducting FIIEs and writing evaluation reports in Texas schools strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of IDEA, ARD processes, and Texas special education compliance
• Ability to manage timelines and maintain accurate documentation
• Experience working in diverse school settings is a plus
Required Certifications & Licensure (Texas)
• Texas Educational Diagnostician Certification (issued by TEA)
• Master’s degree (required for certification eligibility)
• Completion of an approved Educator Preparation Program (EPP)
