Job Summary:

Provides comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Medical-Surgical unit, assessing, diagnosing, and planning their care needs. Acts as a leader within the healthcare team to promote high standards of professional nursing practice and patient safety.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients' conditions through thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Deliver direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, ancillary staff, and other team members to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and progress.
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Medical-Surgical nursing.
• Hold a valid State Nursing License.
• Be certified in NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) through AHA.
• Demonstrate strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Possess excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
