Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse in Medical Surgical/Telemetry provides age-specific, direct patient care, ensuring compliance with departmental standards and patient care protocols. The role includes clinical decision-making, patient assessment, and collaboration with healthcare teams to promote optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to patients across medical-surgical and telemetry units.
• Utilize the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Delegate tasks appropriately to other healthcare team members, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Maintain compliance with all relevant State and Federal laws, regulations, and healthcare policies.
• Ensure all required certifications such as ACLS, BLS, PALS (or ENPC), and de-escalation training are active prior to contract start date or booked during orientation.
• Document patient progress accurately and timely in electronic health records.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Registered Nurse license in the relevant state.
• Demonstrate clinical experience in medical-surgical or telemetry settings.
• Possess current ACLS, BLS, PALS (or ENPC), and de-escalation certifications.
• Exhibit strong clinical assessment skills and ability to handle high-stress situations.
• Show proficiency in patient documentation and electronic health record systems.
