Job Summary:
Provides specialized perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. Ensures adherence to sterile techniques, monitors patient status, and collaborates with surgical teams to promote safety and optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and execute comprehensive preoperative assessments and preparations.
• Maintain sterile fields and ensure proper handling and sterilization of surgical instruments and supplies.
• Monitor and document patient responses, vital signs, and pain levels during surgical interventions.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other team members to ensure seamless surgical procedures.
• Safely administer medications and intravenous therapies as per protocols and physician orders.
• Observe strict aseptic techniques and perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts accurately.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Hold a current RN license in Massachusetts.
• Preferably possess OR nursing experience and CNOR certification.
• Demonstrate proficiency in sterile techniques, aseptic practices, and surgical patient care protocols.
• Exhibit excellent communication, multitasking ability, and a professional, can-do attitude.
