Job Summary:
The Nurse Educator is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs for nursing staff to ensure clinical competency and professional growth. This role plays a vital part in maintaining high standards of patient care through ongoing staff training and development.

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver educational sessions tailored to nursing staff needs
• Assess learning needs and identify skill gaps within the nursing team
• Collaborate with clinical leadership to develop training curricula and competency assessments
• Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and modify content accordingly
• Maintain documentation of training activities and staff progress
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and institutional policies

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid New York State RN License with primary source verification from NYS Department of Education (NYSED)
• Possess a minimum of two years of Med/Surg experience with a solid clinical background
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher; relevant certifications preferred
• Demonstrate excellent communication and instructional skills
• Exhibit strong organizational and curriculum development abilities
