Job Summary:
The Operating Room Registered Nurse provides specialized perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. They support entire surgical teams by ensuring patient safety, adherence to protocols, and efficient operation of the OR.

Responsibilities:

• Circulate in all surgical areas, managing patient care before, during, and after procedures.
• Assist surgeons and staff with all phases of surgery, including craniotomies, laparoscopic, and endovascular cases.
• Ensure all required certifications, including current AHA BLS and NIH, are maintained and compliant.
• Document all clinical activities accurately in Epic and pass competency exams within 12 months.
• Float to various units as required, maintaining flexibility for schedule and patient needs.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid state license, either Compact or Tennessee, at the time of submission.
• Possess at least 2 years of circulating experience in the OR, with specific knowledge of multiple surgical procedures.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Epic electronic charting and pass associated competency assessments.
• Maintain current BLS and NIH certifications.
• Be able to pass a Fit Test, with facial hair appropriately shaved.
