Job Description

Job Summary:

Provides high-quality outpatient nursing care within a substance abuse treatment setting, supporting providers and ensuring effective patient management. Collaborates with staff to facilitate safe, efficient, and compliant clinical operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing services, including patient assessments, specimen collection, and medication administration.
  • Supervise clinic opening and closing procedures, ensuring smooth daily operations.
  • Maintain medication inventory and perform quality control checks on point-of-care tests.
  • Document all clinical activities clearly and professionally, adhering to regulatory standards.
  • Support providers and staff with timely assistance and anticipate patient care needs.
  • Promote a safe environment by adhering to infection control policies and reporting hazards.

Qualifications:

  • Hold an active, unrestricted Alaska Registered Nursing license or equivalent U.S. state license.
  • Obtain and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrate clinical competency within 3 months of hire and every three years.
  • Prefer 1 year of acute care experience and 6 months in addiction services.
  • Exhibit proficiency in assessments, specimen collection, and use of medical equipment.
