Job Summary:
Provide specialized critical care nursing for post-operative cardiac surgery patients in a high-acuity CVICU setting. Ensure the delivery of exceptional patient-centered care through skilled clinical practices and teamwork.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor critically ill cardiac patients using advanced hemodynamic techniques.
• Administer medications, including vasoactive agents, and manage mechanical support devices such as ECMO, Impella, and LVADS.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Perform procedures including intubation, extubation, chest tube management, and pacing wire removal.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and recovery processes.
• Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner EMR and adhere to unit policies and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Hold active BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of CVICU or CVRU experience.
• Demonstrate critical care training and a passion for surgical heart care.
• Exhibit high energy, a positive attitude, and a commitment to learning.
• Prior experience with hemodynamic monitoring and device management preferred.
