About the Role
TactStaff EDU is seeking a skilled School Audiologist to join our team and support students’ hearing, listening, and communication needs within the school setting. School audiologists play a vital role in ensuring students with hearing differences can access instruction, participate fully in class, and succeed academically and socially.
In this role, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary special education team, collaborating with teachers, families, and related service providers to ensure students receive appropriate audiological services and classroom accommodation. The ideal candidate combines strong clinical expertise with compassion, clear communication, and a commitment to student success.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct hearing screenings, comprehensive audiological evaluations, and diagnostic assessments for students with suspected or identified hearing concerns.
- Interpret assessment results and provide recommendations for interventions, accommodations, and educational supports.
- Fit, adjust, and monitor hearing aids, cochlear implants, and classroom hearing assistive technology (HAT); troubleshoot equipment as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, families, and outside providers to support student access to instruction and communication.
- Participate in IEP meetings, explain audiological findings, and contribute to service planning and goals.
- Educate school staff and families on listening access, classroom acoustics, and strategies to support students with hearing differences.
- Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, services, and progress monitoring in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Active NM Audiologist License
- Willingness to obtain NMPED credential (district support provided upon hire).
