Job Summary:

The HR Benefits Specialist II is responsible for supporting benefits administration and HR operations within a shared services environment. This role involves managing benefits eligibility, enrollment, claims, and compliance activities to ensure accurate and efficient benefit processing.

Responsibilities:

• Administer employee benefits programs by determining eligibility, processing enrollments, and managing life event changes.
• Support claims review and appeals by gathering and documenting necessary information to ensure compliance.
• Maintain accurate case records and system data, including processing invoices, reimbursements, and reconciling vendor reports.
• Respond to escalated employee inquiries and collaborate with vendors to resolve issues related to benefits and payments.
• Assist with open enrollment, wellness initiatives, and year-end activities while supporting process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with all benefits policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of benefits administration, eligibility, and claims processing.
• Experience working with HRIS or benefits systems such as Epic.
• Ability to interpret and apply benefits regulations, policies, and compliance standards.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in benefits or HR operations.
• Proven ability to manage multiple cases, documentation, and vendor communication.
• Valid State License and certifications compliant with industry standards (AHA).
