Job Summary:
The Pediatric Cardiac Prep and Recovery RN provides specialized pre- and post-anesthesia care for pediatric and adult congenital cardiac patients undergoing cardiovascular, electrophysiology, and interventional catheterization procedures. This role involves managing a caseload of 2-3 patients daily in a fast-paced clinical environment, ensuring safety and compliance throughout patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor perioperative care for pediatric and adult cardiac patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Perform patient assessments, document findings, and communicate with multidisciplinary teams regarding patient status.
• Maintain proficiency in normal and abnormal cardiovascular anatomy and physiology relevant to pediatric and congenital cardiac care.
• Support sedation, clinic visits, and surgical workups, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and best practices.
• Document all patient interactions accurately in compliance with facility and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold a South Carolina RN license or ability to obtain prior to start.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of RN experience, preferably in pediatric ICU, cardiac step-down, or procedural care.
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of pediatric and congenital cardiovascular anatomy and physiology.
• Be able to perform patient assessments and act independently under limited supervision.
