Job Summary:
The CVICU Registered Nurse is responsible for providing specialized critical care to patients recovering from cardiac and vascular surgeries. This role requires delivering advanced nursing interventions in a high-acuity environment with a focus on patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities:

• Render comprehensive critical care nursing services to CVICU patients, ensuring adherence to hospital protocols.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, adjusting therapies as necessary to maintain patient stability.
• Administer medications, including IV therapies, with precision and compliance with safety standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient care plans.
• Document clinical assessments and interventions accurately in electronic health records.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Ohio license or compact state license at time of application.
• Possess a minimum of 18 months recent CVICU experience; travel experience qualifies.
• Maintain current certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Successfully pass ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments during orientation.
• Demonstrate ability to recognize cardiac rhythms; experience with telemetry required.
• Be willing to work every other holiday and rotate shifts as needed.
